Fri, October 16, 2009 - 12:47 AMI'm having a chuckle from your juxtaposition of beetles and wildfires. Recently found out that they sell plain out aussie gums trees that have had beetle attacks(rise after bushfires) into the USA "green housing" market as Australian (wormy) chestnut.
Environment flips/crashes are part of some of the models, but I've not seen too much detail on the speed of the flip/crash.
Despite what people think, the dinos were around for quite a few centuries after that big meteorite impact.
