the average American accounts for three times as much carbon as the average Chinese. If you look at it per person instead of per country, the US are still the biggest pigs...oink oink!
Are you enjoying the race to the bottom? The chinese are bringing 2 coal burning plants online a week. And these aren't the 'clean' coal burning plants either.
So when I exchange my gas guzzler Toyota Sequoia for a Honda what am I supposed to do with the Toyota? If I sell it that helps my bottom line but if someone else is going to be driving it what's the point? I'm not really helping the environment. Am I supposed to take a $20K car to the crushing yard to make sure it doesn't get driven? Yipes!
And what's the deal with deisel being over $4 per gallon? I thought it needed much less refining than gasoline. They tricked us into buying all these deisel trucks and now they are sticking it to us good. I'm a cabinet maker with a 100 mile delivery zone and I have to have a truck for delivery and install.
I saw a new four door Honda civic hybrid drive by me the other day and the fuel econony sticker in the window said 27 / 35 WTF? 27 miles per gallon for a hybrid? What the hell is going on around here? My 8000 lb Sequoia gets 15 for crying out loud!
